A long summer kimono in sheer, lightweight rayon, printed with a black and white leopard pattern over a cream base. The fabric is thin enough to see a hint of light through it, which keeps the whole piece from feeling heavy in the heat, and the leopard print stays graphic rather than muddy even at this weight. It has more presence than a plain sheer robe would, and the cream base keeps the print from feeling too stark.
It falls to the ankle with long, flowing sleeves that move when you walk, giving the animal print more presence than a plain cut would. How do I care for my kimono?
Follow the care label on your piece. Cotton and polyester kimonos usually take a cold, gentle wash and hang to dry. Silk and satin pieces prefer a gentle hand wash in cold water, no wringing and no tumble dryer.
