A red kimono in a cotton and polyester blend, printed with a floral motif and cut with the wide sleeves that give this piece its name. The sleeves are more generous than most of our other kimonos, closer to the exaggerated furisode shape you see in older Japanese garments, and they are the reason this piece looks dressed up even when nothing else about the outfit is trying hard.
Made in a medium size, it is built to fit a range of body types rather than a single measurement, with room through the bust and a straight, ankle-length cut that does not cling anywhere.
Wear it open over a plain dress and let the sleeves do the talking, or belt it at the waist for a cleaner shape that still shows off the drape. The wide sleeves need a little more room to move than a fitted jacket, so it works best over simple layers rather than anything bulky underneath. Once the sleeves are moving, the drape of the fabric does most of the work, so there is little need to fuss with how it sits.

How do I care for my kimono?
Follow the care label on your piece. Cotton and polyester kimonos usually take a cold, gentle wash and hang to dry. Silk and satin pieces prefer a gentle hand wash in cold water, no wringing and no tumble dryer.
